Types of Cooperative

Cooperatives
As a continuation to the lessons that we have learned from Macoy about joining a cooperative (and how it could help you), today, let's check out the basic types of cooperative we have here in the Philippines.

Have you visited a coop near you already? How about asking your HR if your company or current employer has an existing cooperative

Oh wait, do you know what a cooperative is?

If you find a coop in good standing (must be authorized by CDA and must have sound financial reports or earnings), then it might be a wise decision to attend their required PMES (Pre-Membership Seminar).

For example, Ayala-owned companies such as BPI, Globe and Alveo have a cooperative, and it would really be great to be part of it, right? Unfortunately for us (who are not employed under these companies), we're not allowed to be a member of their cooperative. So be sure to check out any existing cooperatives where you reside or work!
