I first read this poem when I was in high school. Since then, this poem never left me. And while I may have undeniably forgot the exact words and sequence since, the thought remains profound and intact.
Thanks to Google, I was able to retrieve its actual composition. Unfortunately for me, the author remained unknown or as we better put it, anonymous.
Nonetheless, allow me to share with you this very powerful poem so that we may all have time to do the many things life has to offer. It's a simple and wonderful poem delivered straight-forward to remind us to slow down and take time to do the things we sometimes forget. Let the verses provide you the positivity that will help your well-being if you live by them:
Take time to Work.
It is the price of success.
Take time to Think.
It is the source of power.
Take time to Laugh.
It is the music of the soul.
Take time to Read.
It is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to Give.
It is too short a day to be selfish.
Take time to Pray.
It is the greatest power on earth.
Take time to Play.
It is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to be Friendly.
It is the road to happiness.
Take time to Love and be loved.
It is a God-given privilege.
